If you are a parent looking to register your child, there are two ways to join UCMP::
UCMP’s Afterschool Program

Our Afterschool Program offers a comprehensive music education experience. Here’s what you need to know:
-
Application & Enrollment: Applications are accepted year-round, but enrollment only takes place in the fall. If a student is not accepted, they will be placed on our waiting list, and parents will be contacted if a spot becomes available.
-
Tuition & Fees: The monthly fee is based on the family's total annual income, plus a $30 registration fee.
-
Parental Involvement: Parents play an active role, volunteering at our venue, performances, events, and fundraising activities.
-
Classes & Schedule:
-
Ages 3-5: Attend once or twice a week in our Paper Orchestra Program.
-
Ages 6 and older: Attend two to three times per week for group instrument lessons, voice lessons (choir participation based on age), music theory, and orchestra rehearsals.
-
-
Instrument & Materials: If available, instruments are provided at no cost; otherwise, parents may need to rent them. Materials are offered at a low cost.
-
Private Lessons: Students in the Afterschool Program may also take private lessons at a discounted rate, subject to teacher availability.
UCMP Academy (Small Group or Private Lessons)

UCMP Academy offers flexible music instruction tailored to your child’s needs:
-
Students attend only their assigned class, choosing between small group or private lessons.
-
Group class placement is based on availability and requires a minimum number of students per class.
-
Instrument Loans & Rentals: If available, UCMP loans instruments to Academy students for the first month. After that, parents must rent or purchase their child’s instrument. UCMP has a partnership with Music & Arts, offering discounted rental and purchase prices.
-
Once students reach the required level, they may audition to join one of our orchestras.
-
Those with prior experience on an orchestral instrument can audition for orchestra placement upon registration.
-
A separate annual fee applies for participation in orchestras or ensembles.
