Thank You For An UnforgettableNight On The Hudson!

ree

Dear UCMP Family,

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Because of you, A Night on the Hudson was not just an event—it was a celebration of community, music, and the limitless potential of our children. From the moment the first guests arrived to the final notes of the evening, we felt surrounded by warmth, generosity, and genuine support.

We opened the night with our Latin Jazz Ensemble, a group of talented young musicians ages 7 to 15, who filled the room with energy and beauty. They were followed by our exquisite Cello Trio, performing "Requiem for Three Cellos" by David Popper—an unforgettable moment that captivated our esteemed guests.

Afterward, several of our students and parents shared their heartfelt stories, reminding us all why UCMP exists and how transformative music education can be. The performances continued with a stunning joint presentation by our Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras, who delivered a moving rendition of "Pas de Deux" and a special musical performance by New Jersey Symphony's Thierry de Lucas Neves.

During our awards ceremony, where we recognized our long-time supporters Ponce Bank and Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Local Arts Program he administers, we had the honor of hearing from Terry D. Loftis, the new President and CEO of the New Jersey Symphony, who spoke powerfully about the impact of music education and its ability to change lives. His words resonated deeply with everyone in the room.

To our wonderful guests: thank you for showing up, believing in our mission, and filling the evening with enthusiasm and kindness. Your presence made the night truly shine!

To our extraordinary teachers, incredible students, devoted parents, and generous sponsors—thank you! Our teachers are the heart of UCMP, our students continue to inspire us, our parents stand with us every step of the way, and our sponsors make it all possible. Your trust, and support fuel our mission and keep music and opportunity alive for every child we serve.

Our deepest gratitude to our event sponsors: Ponce Bank, the Office of Faith Based Initiatives, and Mayor Richard F. Turner and the Weehawken Township Council for their unwavering support of our mission and the children of our community. We are deeply grateful for their partnership. And a very special thanks to Sonya Salierno from About Designs for the breathtaking floral arrangements that made the room feel elegant, warm, and truly magical.

Because of all of you, UCMP continues to transform lives and make a real difference in our community.

With profound gratitude,

Melina GarciaFounder & Executive Director
